The City of Stamford joined Greenwich in weighing a ban against the use of plastic shopping bags.
The idea of a bag ban has been taken up City of Stamford Board of Representatives’ Legislative & Rules Committee.
Members who met last week agreed they want to restrict use of plastic bags. They just aren't certain how.
One proposal would ban them altogether another would charge a tax or fee.
